In the laser cutting and welding process, laser nozzles are the most common wear on the laser head and one of the most important parts in laser cutting and welding.

• Through the internal shape of the nozzle of the laser head, the airflow direction and air pressure of the high pressure air flow are adjusted to maintain the pressure between the workpiece and the laser nozzle.
• Prevent the melting material of the workpiece from splashing into the inside of the laser head, thereby protecting the internal lens of the laser head.
• Laser nozzles provide the capacitance signal to the height adjustment system to ensure the stable operation of the height adjustment system.

The structure of the laser welding nozzle is relatively complex, which plays an important role in ensuring the welding quality. From the perspective of gas protection, it is necessary to ensure the smooth introduction, uniform distribution and flow of the gas, ensure the uniform coverage of the laser welding area, and form a good protection effect. Generally speaking, the integrated design of the coaxial arrangement of the nozzle of the protection zone and the laser beam is the mainstream. Although the laser welding nozzle has a complex structure and high cost, it has a good protection effect and is stable and reliable.

Good laser nozzles must use TU2 copper because of its high electrical conductivity and good thermal conductivity to ensure a good capacitive signal. Laser nozzles must have high machining precision. The laser nozzles with high precision and concentricity can not only reduce the early debugging in the machining process but also effectively prevent the high-energy laser from hitting the inner wall of the laser head, thereby avoiding damage to the laser head. In addition,  laser nozzles are necessary to have a highly smooth surface of the laser head. The outer surface of the highlight can effectively reduce the adhesion of the melt in the cutting process, thus prolonging the life of the laser nozzles, while the inner surface of the highlight can effectively avoid an eddy current when the high-pressure gas flows out.
